Very into this jacket. I wasn’t sure about the color (sundance) at first but now I am obsessed. CANNOT go wrong with Goretex. Definitely an investment piece due to the price but will double as a rain jacket in other seasons. It’s only a shell but I prefer that so I can layer to accommodate changing mountain conditions without adding bulk.
Some of the reviews complained about a lack of pockets but I found there to be plenty! 2 zip pockets along the front, zippers in the armpits for ventilation, and a number of smaller internal pockets for items such as your phone or credit cards.
Today I layered my favorite Smartwool 1/4 Base Layer, Patagonia Better Sweater, and topped things off with this shell. Was toasty and dry all day long.
