red wing heritage classic moc 6in boot

A midwest staple. Being from Minnesota, I had to treat myself to a pair of Red Wing Mocs. Made in small town Red Wing, MN, these American made boots are as tough as they are trendy.

I was unnecessarily worried about them looking like clown shoes as a size 7.5 (my normal size) fit perfectly and somehow doesn’t add extra bulk. These will be my go-to all fall / winter with thick socks. I was looking for a durable, weather resistant shoe that I could wear during transitional seasons and for running errands in the winter without the hassle of clomping around in snow boots - these hit the nail on the head.

To test these out I took them for a spin on the Lorax Trail in Carbdonale. I was surprised be the amount of grip they had as other reviews commented on the lack of traction. Hiked 3 miles, no problem. My feet stayed warm, dry, and comfy.
